Group Shot!
Edith did real well on the trip except for a few things. Someone shot her front fender
with a bb gun on the way home, causing a dent and a paint chip. The only malfuction
looked like it was going to be a front wheel bearing that needed replacing. I noticed a
slight squeal coming from that corner of the car so I immediately inspected the bearing
and found it needed replacing. Only a few miles later, on the way back to my hotel from
NAPA to pick up the bearing, the rotor shattered. Darn lucky it happened at 20mph on Main
Street within walking distance of NAPA, rather than 50 miles earlier when I was winding
down treacherous roads on the way to and from Mt. Rushmore!
